Tony Meade Drops Psychedelic Power-Pop Single

‘Jesus Went To Vegas’ on April 4th

Tony Meade takes on the modern American church on Easter Weekend in his new single, “Jesus Went To Vegas”.

On April 4th, 2026, Denver-based singer-songwriter and pop artist Tony Meade is set to release his standalone psychedelic power-pop/alt-rock single, Jesus Went To Vegas.

The first new single set for release in 2026, the song is a critique of modern American Christianity and its emphasis on prosperity, exclusion, and political influence over grace, love, and compassion, and is releasing on Easter weekend.

“While I'm not one to write or release songs with a political or societal bone to pick, it seemed like the right time to take a skewer to the religious tradition that I was raised in and later left, given current events.” — TONY MEADE

Recorded and produced by Meade at his home recording studio in Denver, with assistance from Duffy Laudick of Cheyenne, Wyoming, the single was also mixed and mastered by Meade.

Along with Meade on lead vocals, guitars, bass, drums and percussion, the single features Duffy Laudick on synths and additional guitars.

Jesus Went To Vegas by Tony Meade is out on streaming platforms from April 4th, 2026.
